Walking out your Vision

Walking Out Your Vision
Part 1, April 6, 2010
Patricia W. Adams, Pastor
The Anointing Church

Habakkuk 2:2 (kjv) "And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it."
As the Lord told me to, I wrote the vision He gave me and share it with anyone who will listen or read it. When He gave it to me I was expecting to go from His word revealed, confirmed to me by other believers, to the fruition of the vision and I began walking toward it expecting the Lord to open the necessary doors. He also gave me Habakkuk 2:3 (kjv) "For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie though it tarry, wait for it: because it will surely come , it will not tarry."

I didn’t realize this wait could take years. Even when it takes more time than we anticipated or expected, we still must wait expectantly as if it will come to pass this very day. We must prepare continually, be obedient to the voice of the Lord our God and go and do what ever He calls us to do in the mean time, never giving up hope nor letting our guard down and watching in the ready position for the time when the door has opened for us.

Many of us have a calling and vision of what the Lord wants us to do. Bible School taught me that if the calling and vision is beyond your own ability to bring it to pass and for it to come to pass would take the hand of God, it probably was given to you from God. therefore. never take it lightly. God does His work in His time and days of preparation, though they be many, are never wasted so we must stay vigilant, keeping our lamps trimmed and staying daily at His feet.

I wanted to use this blog to share some of my experiences while I wait, in hopes that it will encourage those of you who are also waiting on your visions and callings to come to pass and letting you know you’re not alone. My days of preparation and stepping out in faith, believing God, include this web site, ministry address and this blog to continually share the vision of what God is getting ready to do.

I have approached the old owners and the new owners of the building the Lord sent me to, on more than one occasion trying to see if the doors would open up to me, without success. A few times I attempted to start the church in locations other than the building the Lord sent me to only to have the Holy Spirit make it crystal clear not to. This must be done in God’s timing and God’s way and He will make it clear when I can go in and posses the land He promised. What is so different about this church that God will build? Why is it taking so long to come to pass? This will not be church as usual, this will be REVIVAL.
